From electricity, to natural gas, to clean water and sewer, to extensive (and overlapping) fiber capacity, the Augusta region’s utility providers have developed systems with plenty of capacity to accommodate the most demanding industries. Additionally, many of our business parks and certified Shovel-Ready sites have been built with infrastructure including water, sewer, power, natural gas, and a strong fiber network.
Electric
Georgia Power
Georgia Power is an investor-owned, tax-paying utility that serves 2.35 million customers in all but four of Georgia's 159 counties. The largest of four electric utilities that make up Southern Company, Georgia Power has been providing electricity to Georgia for more than a century at rates well below the national average.
Jefferson Energy Cooperative
Jefferson Energy Cooperative is a non-profit electric cooperative serving parts of 11 different counties in the CSRA for more than 75 years.

Atlanta Gas Light
Atlanta Gas Light provides natural gas delivery service to more than 1.6 million customers in Georgia. Most industrial supply lines in the Augusta region are 4”.
Sewer
Augusta Utilities
Augusta Utilities provides water and wastewater service in Augusta and Richmond County. Water lines serving industrial sites are up to 20”, with a capacity of 38 million GPD.
